The Portal Crane is designed as an electrical driven 2-axis linear system with Pellet Gripper. In order to avoid swinging of the Pellets during handling, a linear drive for vertical movement of the Pellet Gripper is used.
The accuracy for positioning of the Portal Crane is ±3 mm. The design allows to pick-up Pellets (e.g. Roller Conveyor, Chain Conveyor, Pellet Measuring Station etc.), transfer the Pellets to the intermediate storage and further into a drum or conainer.
The Portal Crane is equipped with a Hydraulic Compact Unit for the Pellet Gripper mounted at the Z-Axis.
The lifting stroke of the Portal Crane allows insertion of the Pellets with different heights.
