Data protection declaration

The protection of personal data is important to us. Accordingly, we pursue our activities in compliance with all applicable laws concerning the protection of personal data and data security. Read on to find out what information we may gather and what we do with it.

Personal data

We do not collect any personal data via our websites (e.g. names, postal addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses) unless you voluntarily make said data available (for instance by registering), have consented to it, or if its collection is permitted by the applicable legal provisions for the protection of your data.

Purpose

We use the personal data you disclose purely for the purpose of answering and processing your orders or to provide you with access to certain information or offers. We will not pass on your personal data to third parties outside the BIG Entsorgungstechnologien GmbH.

Use restricted to specified purposes

BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH will only collect, process and use the personal data you provide online for the purposes we specify, except if the collection, processing or use are necessary either in order to prepare, negotiate and execute a contract with you or on grounds of legal obligations, or is ordered by public authorities or courts of law, is necessary in the assertion of or protection against legal claims or to mount defences against lawsuits or to prevent abuse or other unlawful activities, for instance in order to safeguard data security in the event of malicious attacks on BIG Entsorgungstechnologien GmbH.

Communication or usage-related details

If you access our websites via telecommunication services, communication-related data (e.g. the Internet protocol address) or usage-related data (e.g. details of the start and duration of usage as well as the telecommunications service you use) will be generated automatically, and this could allow inferences to be drawn about personal data. Where the collection, processing and use of your communication- and usage-related details are absolutely necessary, they are subject to statutory data protection provisions.

Automatically collected non-personal data

When you access our websites, information may occasionally be gathered automatically (i.e. not via registration) which cannot be assigned to specific individuals, for instance the Internet browser and operating system used, the domain name of the website from which you came, the number of visits, average visit time, pages accessed, etc. We use this information to monitor the appeal of our websites and to improve their efficiency and content.

Transmission of personal data by minors

Persons under 18 should not transmit personal data without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH does not request personal data from minors nor will such data be gathered or processed.

Cookies: Information automatically stored on your computer

When you visit our websites, we may store information on your computer in the form of a cookie, which will allow your computer to be automatically recognised on your next visit. Cookies enable us to do things such as adapt a website to your interests or store your password so that you do not have to re-enter it every time you visit. If you do not want us to be able to recognise your computer, please adjust your Internet browser settings so that cookies are deleted from your hard disk, all cookies are blocked or you are warned before a cookie is saved.

As content providers pursuant to Section 7 of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz – TMG), BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH is responsible for their ‘own content’ which they make available for use. Although all content is carefully checked and continuously updated, no guarantee can be given as to its completeness, accuracy or up-to-dateness. Accordingly, BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH is not liable for any loss or damage suffered in connection with the use of said content.

This ‘own content’ should be distinguished from links to the content offered by other providers. BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH makes external content available for use via these links, which are indicated by the words ‘External Link’.

Through these links BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH offers access to the content in question (Section 8 TMG). However, BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH is not responsible for this external content since it does not instigate the transmission of the information, does not select the addressees of the information and has not selected or altered the information transmitted. Furthermore, the method of calling up and linking [to external sites] chosen by BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH means that no automatic short-term storage of this external information takes place, in view of which BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH does not assume any liability for this external content.

However, the links always represent connections with ‘living’, dynamic third-party Internet presences. When first setting up a link, BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH does carefully check the external content involved to determine whether it could give rise to potential liability under civil or criminal law. However, we are not obliged to continuously check the content to which we offer links for changes which could later give rise to such a liability. We will only take down a link to any such offer if we ascertain, or are notified by others, that a specific offer to which a link has been provided gives rise to liability under civil or criminal law, and if it is technically possible and reasonable to do so. Said technical feasibility is not influenced by the fact that, after removing access from the BIG Entsorgungsetchnologien GmbH home page, the unlawful or criminal content may continue to be accessible from other servers.

Google Analytics and Conversion Tracking

The website uses Google Analytics. Google will evaluate your use of the website on behalf of the operator of this website in order to compile reports about website activities and render other services to the website operator that are associated with the use of the website and the internet.

Since the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information reached an agreement with Google on the basis of the decision by the Düsseldorf working group on data protection compliant design of analysis procedures as regards audience measurement for internet services, a data protection compliant and fault-free use of Google Analytics is possible under certain conditions. Naturally we adhere to these requirements. In particular, we would like to point out that Google Analytics was expanded on this website with the code „gat._anonymizeIp();“ in order to ensure an anonymous registration of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). Your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand if you are located within member states of the European Union or in other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. It is only in exceptional cases that the full IP address will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Google Analytics uses so-called “Cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer. As a rule, information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there. You can prevent cookies from being stored by appropriately adjusting your browser software. However, we must point out that, if you do so, you might not be able to make full use of all the functions on this website. You can also prevent Google from recording data generated by the cookie and data which is related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as this data being processed by Google, by downloading and installing the browser-add-on.
